Oh my, how stressful for you! I am so sorry. For some reason men/boys, think they will be the one to help women like this. They feel sorry and want to come to the woman/girls defence and rescue them. Usually it takes a little while for them to see the light. I hope your son figures it out sooner than later.
I don't mean to sound like a know it all but if you ACT ok with it, he thinks you respect his intelligence and just let her be the one to destroy the relationship. It is so HARD! But it works, I know from experience.
